Girl and Gulls
Box 19: 7, Tiverton Way
Ulla Frisch grew up in Vienna but came to England in 1938 and lived in Cambridge from the late 1940s until her death in 2019. She trained as a graphic designer, attended many art classes and was a very versatile and imaginative artist. She explored different techniques using a variety of media but was primarily a printmaker, using various methods including wood cuts, wood engravings and lino cuts. Some are tiny, others quite large. Subjects are also varied but animals, birds and musicians feature in many of her pictures.
Her daughter Monica is happy to show of her mother's work by arrangement
